Oil 101, Spring 2012
A Comprehensive Overview of Oil and Gas Production

News

Mr. Steve Jacobs will participate in the highly acclaimed Oil 101 program happening October 25-26, 2010.

Mr. Steve Jacobs of Decision Strategies will participate in the upcoming PESA Oil 101 Training program, a comprehensive overview of Oil and Gas Production as a guest Speaker.  The event is happening October 25-26, 2010 at the Norris Conference Center at Houston City Centre, 803 Town and Country Lane, Houston, Texas 77024.

The event is sponsored by the PESA Emerging Leaders Committee.   As the service and supply sector has become more technologically advanced and specialized, a thorough and broad understanding of the business can be hard to achieve. Based on PESA’s highly successful Foreign Service Officers Training Program, Oil 101 will give an overview of the drilling process from seismic to completions to economics. Want to know how 3-D seismic works? How to stimulate a declining well? What it takes to drill 10,000 feet underwater? It will be covered in Oil 101. We’ve added two new sections to the course for this year … an overview of the history of the oilfield, and a section on refining.

The industry’s very best speakers will be on hand for this informative and interactive event. They include:

James Geary, Geologist, Hess Corporation

Brian Hadley, Downstream Project Engineer, Mustang Engineering

Steve Jacobs, Principal-Market Intelligence, Decision Strategies, Inc.

Tom Kellock, Head of Consulting, Houston, ODS-Petrodata

David Reid, Global Accounts Vice President, National Oilwell Varco

Mike Robinson, Director of Subsea Field Development, FMC Technologies, Inc.

Mark Teel, Client Relations & Technical Communications Manager, Schlumberger

Bob Tippee, Editor, Oil & Gas Journal
