Decision Strategies Announces Intent to Acquire RMI
Decision Strategies, a leading decision-focused management consulting firm, today announced the intent to acquire RMI, which provides strategic market assessment and analysis to the oil and gas industry. This acquisition will be the first of several planned acquisitions for Decision Strategies in 2008. RMI is also based in Houston, Texas.
RMI was founded in Houston in 1985 and specializes in strategic market assessments, including evaluations of new and existing markets, measurements of customer satisfaction, due diligence, as well as supporting strategic plan development and technology commercialization processes. RMI is also the host of the "Oilfield Breakfast Forum", the largest industry breakfast forum, which is held three times a year at the Westin Galleria.
"The acquisition of RMI will position Decision Strategies to provide our clients even greater insight by having access to current market research, analysis and drivers of value and uncertainty. This capability will further enhance the quality of the solutions we offer on the complex and strategic problems on which we assist them" says David Skinner, CEO of Decision Strategies. "This means that our clients will receive significant value through the integration of our process approaches with this current and accurate understanding of the market place."
Steve Jacobs, President and Founder of RMI commented, "RMI has built a pre-eminent reputation for its ability to research, understand and develop information on the oil and gas industry. Our joining with Decision Strategies now will assist clients to more meaningfully process the information and make the right choices to enhance their businesses."
The acquisition is set to be complete by mid-year 2008.
